TYPICAL PROJECT PROCESS
- Walk the site after rain or with a hose, find the actual flow path.
- Pick the least-invasive fix that will hold up — often a swale or regrade.
- Add French drain or culvert where surface flow can't do the job.
- Stabilize outlets with riprap or grass.

Why is water standing in my yard?
Usually the yard has no slope away from the house, or a low spot collects runoff with nowhere to go. Regrading or a shallow swale fixes most of these.
