We build gravel driveways from the dirt up: clear the route, cut the road bed, set culverts where the drive crosses a ditch, then lay sub-base and crowned gravel that drains instead of washing.

TYPICAL PROJECT PROCESS
- Walk the route and mark grade changes, ditches, and any tie-in to a public road.
- Clear and cut the road bed.
- Set a culvert where the drive crosses a ditch or low spot.
- Lay and compact sub-base (typically #1s or crusher run).
- Top and crown with surface gravel so water sheds.

How long does driveway installation take?
A typical residential gravel drive is one to three days, depending on length, culverts, and how much cut-and-fill is needed.
What size culvert do I need?
For most residential driveways crossing a county ditch, 15 to 18 inches is common. Heavier flow or county-road tie-ins may require 24 inches or more — we size it to the ditch and any county requirement.
What gravel works best?
Crusher run for the base, then #57 or surge for surface where you want a firmer top. We discuss what you'll be driving on it.
